Cookies

Acceptance of cookies is not a prerequisite for browsing our pages. However, we point out that our site and our services have limited functionality if we are not allowed to insert cookies.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files that are stored on your data carrier and that store certain settings and data for exchange with our systems via your browser. In principle, they distinguish two types of cookies: the so-called session cookies, which are deleted as soon as the browser is closed and the permanent / temporary cookies that are stored for a prolonged or indefinite period on your data carrier. We need this memorization in order to be able to set the pages of our site and our proposals in a more convenient way to you and therefore facilitate the use, for example by storing certain settings, so that it is not necessary to repeat them every time.

What types of cookies use the Kulto site?

Most of the cookies we use are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of the browser session (this is why they are called session cookies). Session cookies are used, for example, to offer you the shopping cart feature on multiple pages. In addition we also use cookies that remain on your hard drive. In subsequent visits you have the automatic recognition of the fact that you have already been on our site and what settings and data you prefer. These temporary or permanent cookies (lasting from 1 month to 10 years) are stored on your hard disk and are deleted by themselves when the set time expires. In particular, these cookies are used to make our offer more usable for consumers, efficient and safe. For example, with these files, you can view individually selected information on your site based on your interests. The exclusive purpose of these cookies is to adapt our offer to the customers’ wishes as best as possible and to make the visit to our site as comfortable as possible.

What data are stored in cookies?

Only pseudonymized data are used in the cookies used by Kulto s.r.l. When cookies are activated, an identification code is assigned to them and there is no match between your personal data and this identification code. Your name, IP address or similar data, which could allow you to trace directly from the cookie to you, are not included in the cookie. On the basis of cookie technology we obtain only pseudonymised information, for example concerning the pages of our site have been visited, the products have been examined and so on.

What is onsite targeting?

Through the cookie technology on the Kulto s.r.l. web pages we collect data to optimize our advertising and the complete online offer. These data are not used to identify you personally, but only serve for the pseudonymised evaluation of the use of the site. With this technology we can present you advertising and / or specific offers and services whose content is based on the information obtained from the clickstream analysis (for example, fate-oriented advertising that in the last few days you have examined only sneakers). Our goal is to make our online offer as attractive as possible for you and to present you with advertising that matches your areas of interest.

Are there also cookies from third-party providers (so-called third-party-cookies)?

Kulto  uses some advertising partners that contribute to making the internet offer and the website pages more interesting for you. So during the visit of our site you also have the storage of cookies of partner companies on your hard drive. In this case they are temporary or permanent cookies that are automatically deleted when the set time expires. These temporary or permanent cookies (lasting from 14 days to 10 years) are stored on your hard disk and are deleted by themselves when the set time expires. Cookies from partner companies also contain only pseudonymised or even anonymous data. These are, for example, data on which products you have examined, if something has been purchased, which products have been searched for, etc. In this, some of our advertising partners collect information even beyond the web pages on previously visited pages or which products you are interested in, in order to display advertisements that best suit your interests.

Retargeting

To this end, our websites use retargeting technologies. We use these technologies to make the internet offer more interesting for you. This technology allows us to contact Internet users who are already interested in our shop and our products on our partners’ websites. We believe that the display of personalized and interest-based advertising is usually more interesting for the internet user than an advertisement without such references. The display of advertising media on the pages of our partners is based on a cookie technology and analysis of the behavior of previous use. This form of advertising is completely pseudonymised.

If you use our pages cookies are placed and with them are detected, stored and used data of your use. In addition, your data is stored even after the end of the session with the browser to be recalled, for example, on the occasion of your subsequent visit to our site.

How can you exclude cookie storage?

In your browser you can set the option that accepts cookies only if you consent and therefore prevent further storage of cookies for the future. If you want to accept the Kulto cookies but not those of other service providers and partners, you can choose the setting “Block third-party cookies” in your browser.

Normally the help function in the toolbar of your web browser explains how to reject new cookies and make those already present ineffective.

Log file

For each access on the web pages of Kulto usage data are transmitted by the respective internet browser and stored in protocol files, so-called web log files server. The data series stored in this procedure contain the following data: date and time of the call, name of the site called, IP address, referrer-URL (URL of origin, that of the site through which you arrived on the site in question), the amount of data transmitted, as well as information about the products and the version of the browser used.

We elaborate these series of logfile data to improve and make more accessible the Kulto Shop, to identify and remove errors more quickly and to manage the capabilities of the servers. At the same time we use the logfile data series to repel attacks on our Shop Kulto, for example those within the so-called distributed denial of service that aim to block our servers by overloading them with requests.

We use so-called tracking technologies to continuously improve and optimize our offer. For this purpose we use the services of Google Analytics and Webtrekk.
